* Born: December 7, 1963 in Berchenz
Claudia is a singer with a unique and very flexible voice. Even before leaving Propaganda she sang the title
"When Your Hearts Run Out Of Time" in a duet with Glenn Gregory (Heaven 17) in 1985.
After leaving the band, she kept working with the music enterprise ZTT
(ZTT co-owner is Claudia's ex-husband Paul Morley, the marriage is today dissolved).
The duo "ACT" with Thomas Leer was founded in 1986 and three (four - "Chance" was drawn back) singles were produced.
The album "Laughter, Tears and Rage", which was released only 14 months after the first single, as well as the singles,
haven't been very successful in commerce, although for Claudia's fans they are a sound experience of highest quality.
The single "Snobbery and Decay" only reached chart 60 in England. As usual at ZTT, quite a lot has been done for the collector:
various 12" versions and as a fine special the unreleased single "Chance", of which although a small number has been sold
(it is said about 40). The 7" Chance is traded at a price of about 130 DM, the 12" at a price of proud 300 DM.
As well announced was the 12" "Winner88 - Dance remixes", though never released.
In 1990 the first (and sorrily only) solo album "Love: And A Million Other Things" was released. A pop album with wonderful
empathic titles, that can as well as "A Secret Wish" be heard infinite times. A milestone in music history, that musn't be missed
in a well sorted collection. Her voice comes to full effect there, anyone listening to the album will see that just determined by his
present mood he will have a favourite song. As singles "Absolute" and "Kiss like ether" have been outsourced, the third single
"Fanatic" hasn't been released (only in France as a promotional single), although there is an unsurpassed remix by the DJ-service Razormaid, that brought every
dance floor to glow, 124 BPM pure dance and sound fun.
The second planned album "Plastic And Physical" has been announced, but never released.
After this solo album it has been very quiet around Claudia, there were a few demo versions
(Lifestyle - In Balance and Water; Jonathan "Teknik" Russell - Play along) and a guest starring with Susanne
at Spiritfeel (Halleluhwah), but no own productions. The song from Teknik was first an instrumental and has
the title "Ohm From Ohm", Claudia added the vocals at home and the song becomes "Play along".
1995 and 1997 Claudia sang with "The Brain feat. Claudia Brücken - I'll find a way" and "Oceanhead - Eyemotion"
(only as promo released) as a guest star, at these two productions Claudias voice comes to full effect.
The Brain-title (with Michael Mertens as well) is orientated within progressive dancefloor and and is
available in various versions - for details see Brain-Page and Discography. The "Oceanhead - Eyemotion" production has
sorrily never been released, a title with very trance-like sound and dancefloor beat.
Now, in 1999, Claudia takes for the joy of all her fans (to whom I count myself as well) part at
the production of the third album.
